2022 Blizzard Black Pearl 88 Women's Skis
The Blizzard Black Pearl 88 Womenâs Skis exhibit some of the traits that you might expect from a frontside carving ski, in a package that feels right at home all over the mountain. At 88mm underfoot, this ski offers cheetah-like speed edge to edge, both on and off-piste. The Pearl 88 uses a rocker-camber-rocker profile that gives the ski a no-compromise attitude. Early rise in the tips helps the forebody of the ski track straight though chop and chunks while proving just enough to float to get by when the snow gets soft. Camber underneath the boot helps the ski grip through carved turns on the piste, and a nearly flat tail offers the power needed to finish carves through the full radius of the turn. New for this year, Blizzard is introducing what theyâre calling âTrueBlendâ wood core. The technology uses vertically laminated wood of varied density in the core to create a ski that flexes firmer underfoot and softer towards the ends of the ski. In softer snow, youâll come to appreciate the new agility offered by the TrueBlend core. Additionally, turn initiation gets easier as it takes less force to bend the tips into a carved turn. Donât be mistaken though, the old hard-charging DNA of this ski remains. Titanal metal and unidirectional carbon laminates in the tip and tails keep this ski calm through harsh snow conditions and warp speeds. If you dream of skiing sunny days, wide-open groomers and snaking bump lines with confident, controlled turns, the Blizzard Balck Pearl 88 is a stellar choice.
