2022 Head Super Joy Women's Skis w/ Joy 11 SLR GW Bindings
The Joy line has been doing a great job with names for a few years now. They really nailed it with the Super Joy. For lightweight performance, it’s hard to beat the on-trail capabilities of the Head Super Joy women’s skis with bindings. This is an amazing setup that’s perfect for front-side carving. At 75 mm underfoot, the skis have a bunch of torsional stiffness, and this increases edge grip and control. When you roll into the turn, the 129 mm tip will pull you right in, and the narrow waist keeps your edges engaged with the snow until the 108 mm tail propels you out of that turn and into the next. It’s a natural, easy, fun, and engaging ski that keeps you dancing down the fall line. They’re able to do all this because Head puts a premium on weight shaving. By reducing the weight of the ski, it makes it easier to get it on edge. Intermediate and advanced level skiers will love the ease of use and the high-performance ceiling of these Super Joy skis with bindings. Built with a Karuba wood core, the skis are light and snappy, with a good amount of pop. Add to that a laminate consisting of Graphene and Carbon, and you’ve got a fairly stiff high-performance ski that has a ton of stability for not a lot of weight. This comes in handy when the turns get tight, but helping you along in that cause is the 12.2-meter turn radius that loves to be on edge and engaged. Not a whole lot of flat ski riding on this one—they love to carve some slick and smooth turns.
