2023 Black Crows Divus Birdie Women's Skis

The Divus Birdie from Black Crows is about the closest thing they make to a dedicated frontside carving ski. 82 mm underfoot and with their H-Shaped double titanal plate, the Divus Birdie is lightning quick edge to edge and has some superb torsional stiffness and edge grip. It’s not, however, completely pigeon holes to just making carving turns on groomers. While it might do that better than anything else, the wider waist width compared to true dedicated frontside skis and the slight amount of rip and tail rocker gives the ski a more fun and more versatile feel. You can release the tail edge and make shorter, pivoting turns with relative ease, which increases the ski’s ability in moguls and other off-piste terrain. A 16 m turn radius feels snappy and responsive, coming across the fall line easily, but not so short that you tire yourself out or that the ski feels twitchy. If you like railing turns on groomers, but also like to retain a little more versatility in your carvers, the Divus Birdie is a great ski for you.
