2023 Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis

The Line Sir Francis Bacon is an iconic ski that’s designed to take playful performance and a freestyle mentality into the backcountry and soft snow conditions. This is one of Eric Pollard’s first designs and is intended to surf, slash, and smear turns in soft snow. Butters, tricking off wind lips, building backcountry jumps and sessioning with your crew, that’s all right in the wheelhouse of the Sir Francis Bacon. It has a relatively soft, symmetrical flex pattern and uses convex shaping in the tips and tails. That convex shape not only increases flotation, it also takes maneuverability to the next level. You’ll never feel catchy or grabby, even in deep snow. Of course, you don’t necessarily need to be a freestyle guy to enjoy the Sir Francis Bacon, just keep in mind that it does have a more centered mount point than most powder skis. It’s great for backcountry and side country freestyle, but it’s also a blast to ski in tight eastern trees, pillow lines, and so much more. You’ll also occasionally see Line athletes and others take the Bacon into the terrain park too. Although it’s traditionally a little wide for that application, it’s still a lot of fun to play around on in the park. If you are freestyle skier, hotdogger from yesteryear or just want to emulate Erick Pollard, then the Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis are just for you.
