The Peregrine 82 is absolutely packed with all the best tech we’ve come to expect from Volkl. Starting with a Poplar and Beech wood core, Volkl adds their Tailored Titanal Frame to the ski, giving power where it’s needed, without the weight penalty. A layer of fiberglass that wraps up around the sides of the core, called 3D Glass, provides stiffness and energy, while Volkl’s Tailored Carbon tips give the Peregrine a seamless entry into the turn for a precise and responsive feel. With an improved range of turn shapes and styles, the Peregrine 82 can handle just about anything a piste skier would want it to do.

Things to consider:

While Volkl touts this ski as an all-mountain offering, it’s very much on the frontside end of the category, and skiers looking for more off-trail performance will find there are better options. Skiers with less refined technique may feel outskied by the Peregrine 82.
