Designed by Pat Moore, the Candle Rain is a hard charging, high performance board that is just at home in the park as it is launching off natural backcountry booters. A stiffer flex, full camber profile, and added carbon stringers give this board plenty of stability and pop as well as giving it the ability to plow through the cruddiest of conditions. A poplar and paulownia core keep it lightweight but durable.

Why we like it:

This board is great for charging down groomers at high speeds. Double carbon stringers and grip tech give this board superior edge hold while the full camber profile gives its tons of energy and pop.

Who it's for:

The stiffer flex makes it a bit harder to maneuver for your more beginner level riders and the camber makes it easier to catch an edge and fall. Ideal for an intermediate rider looking to progress or an expert level rider who is looking for one board to do everything.

Things to consider:

This board can be difficult to maneuver at slower speeds through trees or moguls with the stiffer flex, especially for a lighter weight rider. Extended contact points make it a little easier to catch an edge and fall if you are riding more cautiously. If you are looking for a board specific for powder days there will be better options, but this board excels in pretty much all other conditions.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Candel Rain rides pretty true to size with the minimal rocker but riders could size down with the stiffer flex if they are looking for more maneuverability.
