2025 Jones Hovercraft 2.0 Snowboard
The Hovercraft 2.0 comes back unchanged for the 2025 season and if you have something this good why would you change it. This directional powder-oriented board excels in the deepest conditions providing excellent float and the ability to plow through any conditions mother nature can throw at you.
Why we like it:
The deep snow capabilities of the Hovercraft 2.0 are a standout. This board excels in deep snow situations due to the shaping and rocker profile, but this board is no slouch on groomers, the camber underfoot and longer sidecut still makes railing turns at high speeds a blast. Easy enough to weave through the trees or moguls without sacrificing stability or edge hold.
Who it's for:
The Hovercraft 2.0 is geared towards intermediate to advanced riders who are looking for superior deep snow performance. Great for plowing through deep powder filled bowls out west while still giving you the control you need to charge down hard packed groomers.
Highlights:
The Hovercraft 2.0 uses Re-Up Tech which takes parts from old, recycled boards and reincorporates them into the construction of the new boards. The dual density Control Core uses a paulownia core with poplar stringers to increase durability and make for a smoother damp ride. A Biax fiberglass double laminate makes for a forgiving snappy ride without compromising stability or weight. The Sintered 8000 base gives you superior glide and holds wax better so you don't find yourself stuck on the cat tracks. A Flax top sheet reduces chatter and cuts down on the use of synthetic materials making it an eco-friendlier option.
Things to consider:
The directional shape and 17 mm of taper in the tail provide excellent float but can make it a little harder to ride or land switch. The longer sidecut and camber under foot can make it easier to catch an edge and fall for more entry level riders but the spoon shaped nose helps with this.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The Hovercraft 2.0 rides true to size.
