2025 Ride Moderator Snowboard

The Moderator from Ride is a versatile all-mountain board that is not super demanding. This board shares a very similar shape profile to the Deep Fake but with a softer more forgiving flex. This makes it extremely maneuverable through tight trees and moguls while the full camber profile still gives it plenty of stability and edge hold for your harder packed conditions. This board is lot of fun slashing through the crud on the side of the trail and the shaping makes it really easy to transition from edge to edge.

Why we like it:

We are big fans of how fun and playful this board is and shaping plays a huge factor in that. The tapered shape makes for better float in deeper snow and easy transition from edge to edge. Whether you are carving icy groomers or slashing through the slush, this board can handle it.

Who it's for:

The Moderator is a great option for progressing beginners all the way up to your more advanced riders. If you are looking for a board that you can just have fun with and doesn't take a ton of energy to stay on it, then this is a great option for you.

Highlights:

The Moderator is a great combination of stability and maneuverability. The Added carbon stringers under the mount points and full-length carbon stringers that run tip to tail add some stability and edge hold even with the moderate flex. The shape and added tip rocker make it easy to initiate turns and transition edge to edge which is helpful when weaving through tight trees. Impact plates under the binding mount point add some vibration dampening and impact absorption that is helpful when landing big airs and plowing through the cruddier chopped up snow.

Things to consider:

Although the Moderator is approachable for most any rider, it does have a speed limit and your heavier more aggressive riders may want something that is a little stiffer. The full camber profile makes it a little easier to catch an edge so if you are just starting out and want a surfier more catch free ride, then there are better options out there.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The shaping on the Moderator makes it ride a little shorter than the length calls out but sizing up will help if you are looking for more stability at speed.
