2025 Ride Psychocandy Snowboard
The Psychocandy from Ride is a surfy all-mountain board that shares a similar shape and rocker profile to the War Pig. This board is a ton of fun whether you are seeking out deep powder stashes or just looking for a surfy playful feel. Don't let the shape fool you though this board can still rail turns on hard packed groomers. A moderate flex and catch free shape make it approachable for most riders.
Why we like it:
We love the fully rockered directional shape that allows for easy catch free turn initiation that make it ideal for your west coast riders or anyone who puts maneuverability at a premium. Even with the shape, this board is not slouch on east coast groomers with the added carbon for stability.
Who it's for:
The Psychocandy is a great option for progressing beginners all the way up to your more experienced riders. A great board for tackling a few feet of powder on the west coast, or a great option if you are looking to effortlessly carve down groomers on the east coast.
Highlights:
The Zero camber profile makes for easy turn initiation and a surfier feel. The Carbon Array 5 stringers over the mount points provides good stability even with the lack of camber. Added Carbon inserts in the tail holds you in a carve better and allows you to rail turns without worrying about the tail washing out. The double impact plates under the mount points help absorb impact on even the biggest jumps.
Things to consider:
The lack of camber takes away some stability and edge hold on icier conditions so your more aggressive riders who are sticking to groomed trails may want something with some camber. The tapered directional shape makes it a little harder to ride switch, but more experienced riders should not have an issue.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The Psychocandy is a volume shift board so you would want to downsize 3-5cm.
