Crescent Moon Vail 24.5 Women's Snowshoe (Previously the Gold 13)
Designed by a woman (who happens to be co-founder of the company) for women, the Crescent Moon Vail 24.5 Women's Snowshoe reflects the shorter, narrower, womenâs stride for a trail snowshoe that promotes your natural stride for hours of happy walking. The Vail 24.5 Trail is designed for women up to 165lbs (and do remember, thatâs 165 with your pack) and foot sizes less than 12 (Women). Lightweight and easy to maneuver this features a binding system so well designed and functional it has been recognized as the "best" snowshoe on the market by most outside magazines at some point during the last 22 years. With a lightweight aluminum frame featuring a very steep nose and tapered tail this is surprisingly easy to maneuver even on a narrow trail. The unique teardrop shape helps the shoes clear themselves within the distance of your own natural stride, so youâre not forced to adopt a new hiking style when you pull out your snowshoes every winter. Crescent Moonâs unique climbing âtoe clawâ design gives you extra traction on the uphill, for a more secure grip on packed or firm surfaces. And with the spring cam buckle and ratchet heel strap, getting in and out of your shoes is no longer a struggle. A great shoe for the woman who is going to do most of her winter hiking on marked trails with occasional forays off into the untracked.
