Dalbello Cabrio LV 130 Ski Boot
Stiff, smooth, dynamic, and adaptable all come to mind when talking about the Cabrio LV 130. Replacing the Dalbello Krypton line was a tough goal to set, but the Cabrio boots proved they are more than capable. The Cabrio LV 130 is the most aggressive skiing boot of the line, and skiers can take them anywhere. Classified as a freeride boot, the Cabrio LV 130 can ride steep and deep tree lines just as well as spring hot laps in the park.
Why we like it:
We like the Cabrio LV 130 because it doesn’t have many equals in its category. The Cabrio LV 130 is probably the most powerful three-piece boot on the market today.
Who it's for:
Advanced to expert skiers looking for incredibly strong, but progressive flexing boots will be a great match for the Cabrio LV 130.
Highlights:
Just like other high end boots from Dalbello, the Cabrio LV 130 has their MyFit shell and liner technology, but the tongue liner is replaced with their 3DWrap liner. The liner in the Cabrio LV 130 is very warm and comfortable but hugs the foot securely and interfaces with the shell perfectly. The shell of the Cabrio LV 130 has lowered pivot points compared to traditional overlap boots, giving skiers more leverage. The additional leverage allows for almost instantaneous response at the top of the boot.
Things to consider:
The Cabrio LV 130 and other three-piece boots do flex and react differently than an overlap boot. Aggressive skiers who prioritize carving hard pack groomers might want to look at a more traditional boot.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The shell of the Cabrio LV 130 comes in at a 99 millimeter last, and we think that is accurate. The boot is not quite as compressive as some other low volume boots, but the Cabrio LV 130 gives a locked in feeling without being too tight. The Dynalock buckle gives skiers excellent control over how much pressure comes down and back through the instep and heel to lock them in place. The toe box has been expanded vertically from previous Krypton models to keep toes comfortable while still being snug.
