Insulation, it packs down easily and packs a lot of warmth for such a stealthy looking jacket. This would be a fantastic piece to throw in your backpack for a day in the backcountry to provide extra warmth on top of a cold and windy summit, or as a layering piece underneath your shell for cold lift rides. The Dexter has airy warmth and feel of down but it dries faster and stays warm even when it gets wet. A brushed chin guard makes it feel extra cozy and soft against your skin and won't leave you chaffed. 6-inch pit zips can dump heat if you get too warm and offer great venting capabilities. 2 zippered hand pockets will keep all of your valuable belongings safe and secure. If you happen to be wearing a backpack you can also access these pockets without having to take your pack off. Low profile cuffs and an adjustable waist cinch keep the jacket snug in just the right places.
