Two Velcro® tightening straps keep boots firmly in place, while the shoe’s 3D design, 6 crampons and front teeth provide grip and stability. The front toe teeth are plastic, which lightens up the shoes to less than a pound each, while the hourglass shape allows for a natural stride. With a shoe range from a 13 girls to a size 9 woman’s and a weight range from 40-100 pounds this will carry a child from their first backyard forays into the tweens when they’re ready for more aggressive adventures. A snowshoe that offers a real opportunity to get your kid out onto the trails on a shoe that’s lightweight enough for them to handle, but has a robust binding and frame for uneven terrain and the occasional steep section. Adult shoes are usually too heavy and the bindings don’t tighten down to accommodate smaller feet, leaving the kids struggling with equipment that’s too clumsy for them to have fun on. Plastic kid’s shoes were never designed for more than stomping around a back yard.
